Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Power BI Analyst to join our remote team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart or build their career in business intelligence and data analytics. As a Junior Power BI Analyst, you will work closely with our data team and cross-functional stakeholders to design and deliver dashboards, reports, and insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and update Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Translate raw data into meaningful and visually compelling reports.
• Work with SQL databases to extract, clean, and analyze data.
• Collaborate with senior analysts and business users to understand data needs.
• Assist in the automation of reports and streamline data workflows.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards.
• Stay updated with Power BI features and best practices for report optimization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of Power BI and data visualization principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Familiarity with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Understanding of data modeling and relationships within datasets.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical users.
Experience
• 0 to 2 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
• Recent graduates with relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
• Remote Position
• Flexible working hours with core availability between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (IST).
• Approximately 25–30 hours/week, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong understanding of business KPIs and how data influences business outcomes.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio) is a plus.
• Eagerness to grow and adapt in a fast-paced digital work environment.
