Job Title: FinOps Engineer (Cloud Cost Optimization)
Location: WA (Local Only)
Job Summary:
Looking for a strong FinOps Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS & Azure cost optimization. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, finance, and leadership—driving cloud cost efficiency, forecasting, and optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own cloud cost management (AWS & Azure), including RI & Savings Plans
• Build forecasting models for cloud spend and budgeting
• Implement cost anomaly detection & optimization strategies
• Partner with engineering teams to drive FinOps best practices
• Present cost insights and recommendations to leadership
• Manage tagging, cost allocation, and chargeback models
Required Skills:
• 5+ years in cloud operations with FinOps focus
• Strong experience in AWS & Azure cost management tools
• Expertise in RI/SP strategy & utilization optimization
• Experience with cost forecasting & anomaly detection
• Strong communication with executive stakeholders
• Python/SQL for cost analysis & automation
Nice to Have:
• FinOps Certification (FOCUS or equivalent)
• AWS/Azure certifications
