Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our interior design firm and factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing cost accounting for production, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries using Tally or similar ERP software.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
2. Cost Accounting & Inventory (Factory-Focused)
• Track and analyze manufacturing costs, raw material usage, wastage, and stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and prepare inventory reports.
• Coordinate with the factory supervisor for production cost optimization.
• Maintain bill of materials (BOM) and job order costing.
3. Taxation & Compliance
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and other statutory filings.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable tax and labor laws.
4. Payroll & HR Support
• Process employee salaries, statutory deductions (PF, ESI), and incentives.
• Maintain attendance and leave records in coordination with the HR team.
5. Financial Planning & Budgeting
• Assist in budget preparation and expense control.
• Provide financial forecasts and profitability analysis for projects and factory production.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an interior design, construction, or manufacturing setup.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and other accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and cost accounting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with project-based accounting.
• Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Working Conditions:
• 6-day working week (adjustable based on company policy).
