To articulate, communicate & build consensus around a new collective narrative or social construct for humanity (accurately reflecting the external social & ecological realities) that is aspirational & facilitates societal mobilization & controlled transition towards an energy descent or post collapse future characterized by ecological sustainability ,social equity & spiritually satisfying
MISSION
• To cultivate long-form thinking, holistic & systemic approach in our constituency
• To establish an ecology-centric sustainability think-tank dedicated to participatory action research & education about humanity’s existential predicament and an alternative life-sustaining, low energy (energy descent) future
• To emerge as a thought leader in the collapse & strong sustainability discourse
• To create mass awareness about humanity’s existential risk, response options & transition pathways
• To emerge as a one-stop platform for lifelong adult learning & education in the context of energy descent future

The primary constituency (audience) who can comprehend, appreciate, and may wish to contribute towards the strategic goals GCR belong to the non-mainstream spheres of the economy, academics, policy and are scattered both in the global North as well as the South. GCR intends to build a virtual, global, volunteer-driven organization by attracting a good mix of knowledgeable, skillful, long-term thinkers & self-driven members & volunteers. Our website has curated content targeted specifically to this constituency and motivates them enough to apply for board membership and volunteers. We intend to create a global platform where content development will be created primarily with the aid of an online community of volunteers, members, donors, and a few staff members.
In this regard, we hope to receive effective guidance (advice, strategy) from an HR volunteer candidate who has the expertise in non-profit sector or has personally put together such a board in similar circumstances. It will benefit us immensely if we have the appropriate HR policies for all persons engaged in various roles. An organizational handbook containing all relevant policies, orientation contents will go a long way in simplifying this complex task. GCR is
a registered non-profit
certified to receive donations (from India only) and plans to receive donations from abroad in kind only
has a functional website with relevant content curated for its primary audience
At this stage, GCR is completely managed by one of its consists of two founding directors with some support from volunteers.
We are all set to now reach out to the best minds globally to join us as board members & volunteers who are knowledgeable, skillful, and well-connected across all sectors. The founding Director will be providing all support & inputs necessary to execute this project and implement the same.
