About the role: Ambulance Officers who hold the portfolio of Te Manawaroa will play a crucial role in a mana māori motuhake (by Māori for Māori) approach to strengthening connections with Māori communities with a focus on tāngata whenua.
They will learn and share tikanga along with holding an understanding of the importance of contributing to achieving Māori health equity for all Māori patients and their whānau. Our Ambulance & Events Officers provide care and support to our patients through their journey which may start at a 111 call and end either being referred to another health care provider, treated on scene, or transported to a medical facility.
