We are seeking a committed Storeperson to work full-time on night shifts with our Wellington Produce Team. You will be part of a dynamic group that prepares, processes, and packs fresh vegetables and fruits according to customer orders.
Immediate start role
Night shift - 8.30 pm to 5.00 am (approx.)
Days - Sunday to Thursday
Location: William Durant Drive, Upper Hutt
Permanent full-time role
The job:
As a Store person, you will work with fresh produce (fruits and vegetables), pulling, weighing, and packing supplies, as well as assisting in stocking and other warehouse duties. Your main tasks will include:
Picking, weighing and packing orders
Assisting in dispatching orders
Handling and restocking inventory
Receiving and storing products
Performing some heavy lifting (up to 25 kg)
Monitoring product quality by inspecting items before packaging
Cleaning work areas and maintaining general housekeeping
Strictly adhering to food safety standards and health and safety protocols
The candidate:
You will be able to work unsupervised to achieve results. Our Produce depot operates in a temperature-controlled environment, so you would ideally be comfortable working in this cold environment, physically fit, and able to lift some weights, up to 25 Kg at times.
You will have –
Relevant experience in the fresh produce industry or warehousing/pick pack roles
Previous work in a chiller and/or depot environment
Reliable transport and flexibility with hours
Clear communication skills
NZ Class 1 full driver's license
A confident, flexible attitude with attention to detail
Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients
Be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Possess intermediate literacy and numeracy skills
Be hardworking, reliable, and demonstrate good work ethics
Have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements
Have reliable transport and the ability to attend shifts as and when required
