The Opportunity
Reporting to the Water and Wastewater Supervisor, these roles are responsible for pump maintenance and repair, wastewater pump station maintenance, repair and upgrades, construction and repair of manholes, water and wastewater mains, valves, hydrants, meters and services.
The ideal candidates will need to be familiar with plumbing, pump repair/maintenance and construction techniques. You will be expected to do relief work for the operators in charge of the water and wastewater treatment plants. You will have demonstrated experience in construction techniques, concreting, manhole construction, pipe repairs and pipline construction. You should also have an understanding of water and wastewater systems. Previous experience in the water industry along with water and wastewater treatment certifications will be highly regarded.
To succeed in the role, you will have the ability work flexibly and cooperatively in a team environment, and adequate literacy and numeracy skills to comprehend appropriate technical manuals and pass operator courses required for the role.
It is a requirement of this role to participate in an on-call roster for after hours, weekend and public holiday work to respond to system breakdowns and emergencies.

Annual salary of $60,312 to $6+,656 (plus super) plus overtime and on-call allowance.
