Job Description
Water resources management: design and implement water resources management programs to ensure the sustainable use and protection of water resources.
Hydrological analysis: Performs analysis of hydrological data to assess the hydrological cycle, watershed characteristics and water resource availability.
Engineering: Participate in the design and construction of water resources projects, including dams, canals, drainage systems and water supply facilities.
Modeling: Use computer models to simulate water flows, floods, and water allocations, and predict changes in water resources under different scenarios.
Project Management: Coordinate and manage water resources projects to ensure that they are completed on time, on budget, and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
Environmental assessment: assessing the environmental impacts of water resources projects and proposing mitigation measures to ensure environmental sustainability.
Report Writing: prepare technical reports and research papers to communicate project progress and results to stakeholders and the public.
Requirements:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: bachelor's or master's degree in water resources engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: at least 2 years of experience in water resources management or a related field, with project management experience preferred.
Skills Required:
Familiarity with hydrologic modeling and water resource management software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, etc.).
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and model results.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and the public.
Teamwork: excellent team player, able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.

Typically works in an office, laboratory, or on-site and may be required to travel for site investigations and project implementation
