Job Description
The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Human Resources Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department by performing various administrative tasks recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Manager, Human Resources.
Administer and organize all recruitment functions including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling and attending interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Draft employment contracts and collect all required documentation prior to the candidate’s initial date of hire.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
Maintain updated job descriptions for all municipal employment positions.
Maintain and update employee records (electronic and paper), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Provide benefit administration including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and documents as required.
Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Labour Standards and M.D. policies, procedures and directives.
Perform other duties within the scope of the position as required.
Qualifications:
A Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of Alberta Employment Labour Standards and HR best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Avanti payroll software will be considered an asset.
