He/she will be responsible for the growth and development of customers primarily in the BC region as well as increasing market share in Western Canada (AB & SK). They will be responsible for driving tire sales and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a passion for helping clients and customers find the right products to meet their needs while achieving sales targets.
Position: Regional Tire Sales Manager with 3+ years experience in PTL within the manufacturing industry.
Status: Full Time
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (possible after hours)
Entry Pay Level: Intermediate level ($80-$85,000 salary plus commissions)
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer management, product presentation, pricing negotiations and customer service. As part of the Tire Sales team, the responsibilities and duties including but not limited to:
Develop new retail tire customers in the Richmond, BC area to increase PCR/LTR stock sales
Retain and grow our region (BC, AB, SK) and tire wholesalers
Analyze customers and market conditions to provide management with data about market trends, competitive products, pricing, promotions and programs
Identify opportunities and market new product lines through customer needs analysis and knowledge of competitor products
Build and increase the strong relationship with our customers by visiting their store level
Training and educating the tire dealers/counter staff about our products
Travel to three provinces (BC, AB, SK) frequently to provide service to customers
Daily reporting / Weekly schedule set up & share
Monthly/Weekly forecasting and take action to meet the target
Forge business partnerships with key accounts and coordinate product sales and training with each account in respective region
Drive incremental tire sales for products with focus on retail sell out
Effectively manage region through prioritization and maximum efficiency to ensure those corporate objectives, including established call frequencies and individual objectives are met
Develop and maintain regional business plan and plan calls accordingly
Achieve assigned sales targets in assigned region and accounts
Participate in sales meetings, product and training meetings and new account development at target dealers
Identify opportunities for new product lines
Conduct market intelligence to ensure sell out pricing in retail market
Manage and resolve all operational and administrative issues that occur with the assigned region, such as billing errors, shipping errors, and other claim issues
Respond to all inquiries, both internal and external, on a timely basis; prepare monthly planners and expense reports; prepare routine and special reports as required by management; and maintain a professional image
Designing and presenting timely pricing programs that meet the market demands and sales objectives of the company
Job Qualifications:
The ideal applicant must have 3+ years of tire sales and account management within the manufacturing industry. Also must have 3+ years of experience in PTL (passenger and light truck tire).
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Leadership and strategic thinking skills.
Proven relationship development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all corporate levels.
Ability and willingness to travel over 70%.
Proven advanced computer skills in all MS applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
