Women in Technology Analyst Discovery Programme

Open to all students, the Discovery Diversity Programme is an opportunity to learn about the career paths on offer to underrepresented groups at Barclays. You'll be considered for our 2026 internship and introduced to a more diverse range of people in the industry.

Why participate in the programme?
You'll join seminars and workshops, where you'll learn about financial services, Technology as a business area, the recruitment process and Barclays as an employer.
You'll participate in specific breakout sessions within Technology, gaining insights into what you can expect from the Summer Internship in 2026.
You'll build your understanding of the assessment process and next steps.
You'll connect with people from across our business, including current graduates who have already made the journey that you are starting out on.
You'll attend dedicated networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates aligned to your chosen business area.
You'll explore the various Barclays DE&I networks.
Technology at Barclays

We rely on technology in every aspect of our business. It helps us keep transactions moving, manages critical data, supports and protects 48 million customers and clients worldwide. By constantly developing and maintaining our digital infrastructure, we harness the power of technology to support the economy and make a difference to people's lives.

You'll join a world where your work delivers tangible outcomes for all kinds of people and organisations every day. We're shaping the future of financial technology by creating a culture where tech people can make their voices heard and do their best work. You'll build your career in an environment where we're advancing machine learning, leveraging blockchains, and harnessing FinTech. You'll work alongside and learn from industry experts.

Who can apply?

You need to be two years out from graduation and studying any degree discipline. Beyond that, you should be curious to understand how a global bank adapts in a constantly evolving environment. We welcome applications from all eligible students. This programme is aimed primarily at women seeking an opportunity in Technology, but we encourage applications from everyone. Barclays does not provide sponsorship for the 2-day insight programme, and we require applicants to have legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the 2026 Summer Internship Programme.

Working in London

While our Discovery Programme is virtual, if you're successful in securing a place on our 2026 internship programme, you'll be based in London. Our global HQ is in Canary Wharf, at the heart of London's financial district. Here, you'll be perfectly placed to explore the nation's capital and collaborate with other brilliant minds on game-changing innovations that are redefining the future of finance.

At Barclays, we strive to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on various protected grounds.
