About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Casual Youth Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support services to young people who are at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake duties relevant to Platform Youth Services' programs that employ a youth work aspect, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.
Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, helping them develop essential life skills and strategies to overcome challenges.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience working within Residential Youth Care, Crisis and Transitional accommodation programs.
Minimum 12 months experience in working with young people who are homeless or at risk, and a knowledge of the range of issues facing homeless youth.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sound Knowledge of Child Protection Systems and Mandatory Reporting Practices.
Demonstrated written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain an ethical, inclusive and non-judgmental attitude.
