About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity supporting Caterpillar's Integrated Components Solutions ICS Division, that provides trusted engineering, research, validation, and manufacturing services to internal clients, as well as provides technology leadership to the enterprise.
This Research and Engineering R E Analyst role supports ICS financial management reporting and will participate in initiatives that enhance data and processes utilizing digital tools.
About You
You will be working closely with a global team of engineers and interacting with business support teams to deliver key ICS forecasting processes.
You will be responsible for reconciling data between various financial systems to ensure timely and accurate ICS R E reporting, being the single point of contact supporting the ICS R E reporting system, maintaining data governance of ICS forecasting and reporting tools.
You will develop into a subject matter expert providing guidance to resolve engineering time reporting issues, providing training and support on the ICS forecasting process.
You will keep up to date on new tools, technologies, evaluating or developing new ideas which lead to incremental efficiency improvements or improved accuracy.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve enterprise goals, perform process transition, improvement, and participating in knowledge transfer sessions defining and owning the documentation, instruction manuals, and scorecards trackers.
You will partner with multiple global stakeholders on day-to-day operations, identifying and leveraging on tools and technologies to transform processes driving continuous improvement via simplification, standardization, and automation embedding change management best practices.
About Your Background
Candidates will preferably have experience with Research Engineering type expense management, proficiency with large databases and advanced reporting tools such as Power BI.
Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumers. Candidates should have below:
• Proven experience in financial management reporting, analysis, forecasting, intercompany, and month-end processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends, and patterns
• Excellent customer service skills working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes
• Self-starter, works well independently and in a team, with excellent communication skills
• Experience in process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment
