About the role
Are you inspired to promote and improve public health in communities to prevent people from getting sick as a result of their environment. We have the job for you!
This is a part time permanent position providing a fantastic work life balance and can be based in either of the Public Health Unit offices at Dubbo or Bathurst.
You will be working with an experienced team of Environmental Health Officers across a huge area of NSW to implement and review Aboriginal Environmental Health programs.
A typical day can be learning to understand the Aboriginal communities and the implications of the health, social and cultural environment. Provide technical advice including health impact assessment and general environmental health issue and complaints. Working within the Public Health Act for monitoring notifiable disease cases/outbreaks; including Microbial Control, water, skin penetration, tobacco control. Contribute to Emergency Management readiness and response for Aboriginal communities.
