Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. You will support the finance department with daily accounting tasks, maintain financial records, and ensure accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks (data entry, voucher preparation, bank reconciliations)
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
Process invoices and payments to vendors
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Reconcile bank statements and ledger entries
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
Handle petty cash and expense claims
Assist with tax compliance and statutory filings (GST, TDS, etc.)
Coordinate with external auditors during audits
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with GST and TDS compliance
Experience in handling bank reconciliations and ledger entries
Organizational and multitasking abilities
