Duties include tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions. Direct or coordinate purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.

Job Description:
1. Manage, monitor and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department including: month and end-year process accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
• Attending statutory auditors, internal and external auditors
• Supervise Stores/ Materials accounting and tax audit details preparation
• Debtors' management and credit control
5. Supervise the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
6. Create robust processes to develop/establish accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of system changes.
7. Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
8. Ensure compliance with internal and external control policies
+. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
10. Interacts at all levels and with stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report
11. Prepare summary feedback of financial statements variances to budget
12. Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Drive the company’s financial planning
• Perform risk management by analysing the organization’s liabilities and investments
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team, along with purchase team
• Responsible, either directly or by managing staff, for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, helping to drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization
• Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing, or receiving.
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
• Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
• Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and vendors.
• Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
