Propelld is a new age lending startup focusing in the education market doing an annual INR 700cr disbursal, backed by WestBridge Capital (largest in Financial Services space - backers of Axis, HDFC, CIBIL, AU small finance bank, Sharechat, Mamaearth, etc), looking to grow 20x times in the next 3 years to an eventual IPO. Propelld is set to become one of the largest FinTechs in India over the next 3-4 yrs and hence growth and opportunities will be limitless at this role
Designation: - Accounts Intern
Base location: - Bangalore, Propelld Corporate Office
Experience: -Fresher
Duration:-3 Months
Stipend:-10K
Job Summary: As an Accounts Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of accounting by supporting the finance and accounting team with various tasks. This internship is an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations, develop practical skills, and contribute to the financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Recordkeeping:
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Input and update financial transactions in the company's accounting software.
• Reconciliation:
• Participate in bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions.
• Help reconcile accounts, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure they are in line with company records.
• Invoicing and Billing:
• Assist in the preparation of invoices and billing statements for clients or customers.
• Monitor accounts for overdue payments and support in the collections process.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in generating financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare data and documentation for regular financial reporting.
• Expense Tracking:
• Help track and categorize company expenses.
• Assist in preparing expense reports for reimbursement.
• Supporting Audits:
• Provide assistance in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
• Software and Tools:
• Utilize accounting software and tools to manage financial data.
• Learn and adapt to various financial software used by the organization.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with colleagues in the finance and accounting department.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications:
• Current enrolment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior accounting professionals.
