Job Description

Full job description
About us

Founded in Sydney in 2014, ezyCollect by Sidetrade is Australia's leading Order-to-Cash platform for small and mid-sized businesses. We automate credit management, collections, and payments - taking the manual work out of getting paid. Our 1,100+ customers manage A$19 billion in receivables through the platform, typically cutting late payments by 40% and bad debt by 80% within three months.

Now part of global AI leader Sidetrade, we're scaling our reach across three continents - bringing enterprise-grade technology to the mid-market while staying true to our Sydney roots. Australian innovation. Global ambition.

Why this role exists

Our existing customer base represents massive untapped growth potential. As customers mature with ezyCollect by Sidetrade, their needs evolve - they scale into new regions, add team members, expand product usage, and seek deeper integrations. But historically, we haven't had dedicated commercial ownership to capitalise on these opportunities.

That's changing. We're building out a dedicated Account Management function to own revenue growth from our existing customer base globally. This role sits at the intersection of commercial growth and customer success - you'll identify expansion opportunities, run consultative upsell cycles, and position ezyCollect by Sidetrade as a strategic advisor to finance leaders across our portfolio.

You'll work closely with Customer Success (who own retention and adoption), Marketing (who help generate customer expansion campaigns), and Product/Engineering (who build what customers need). Your focus is pure expansion: upsells, cross-sells, renewals, and contract variations. This is a high-impact role with direct ownership over a significant revenue stream - and the chance to shape how Account Management is built at ezyCollect by Sidetrade.

Your team

You'll join our APAC SMB division - reporting directly to the CRO. You'll collaborate daily with Customer Success Managers who surface opportunities and provide context on customer health, Account Executives who close new business, and Marketing teams who help you run targeted expansion campaigns.

The culture is collaborative, ambitious, and supportive. We cultivate a multicultural environment that fuels innovation and you'll have direct exposure to senior leadership and commercial strategy, with clear opportunities to grow as the business scales globally.

What you'll be doing

Own commercial growth across your portfolio. Manage a global portfolio of existing ezyCollect by Sidetrade customers and proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across products, modules, usage, and regions. You're not waiting for opportunities to come to you - you're hunting for them, understanding each client's business maturity, and positioning the right solutions at the right time.

Run the full consultative upsell cycle. From discovery through to close - understand current workflows and pain points, map solutions to business outcomes, build compelling business cases, manage pricing discussions and negotiations, and close deals. You'll also manage contract variations and renewals in collaboration with the CRO.

Build trusted relationships with decision-makers. Develop strong relationships with CFOs, Financial Controllers, AR leaders, and Operations teams. Position yourself as a strategic advisor, not just a vendor. Clearly articulate ROI, business impact, and how ezyCollect by Sidetrade scales with their business as they grow or evolve.

Partner with Customer Success. Work closely with CSMs to identify the right opportunities with the right clients. They'll surface expansion signals - increased usage, feature requests, business growth - and you'll take the commercial lead to close the deal. This is a true partnership: they own retention and adoption, you own expansion revenue.

Drive targeted expansion campaigns. Collaborate with GTM and Marketing to run campaigns that generate Customer Sales Qualified Leads (CSQLs). This might include self-run webinars, promotions, client events, or account-based initiatives. You're not just reactive - you're proactively creating opportunities.

Be the voice of the customer. Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams. Surface trends, feature requests, and friction points that impact expansion. Help shape what we build next based on real customer needs and commercial opportunities.

Maintain commercial discipline. Keep accurate notes, opportunities, forecasts, and activity in the CRM (HubSpot). Track pipeline health, expansion targets, and campaign performance. Ensure all commercial and administrative tasks are completed to a high standard. You're data-driven, organised, and accountable.

What you'll bring

You have 2+ years of experience in an Account Manager, expansion-focused Account Executive, or similar consultative sales role. You've worked with existing customers before, managing renewals, upsells, or expansions - and you have a proven track record of hitting consistent targets and quotas.

You come from a SaaS, fintech, payments, ERP, or accounting-related technology background. You understand the finance function, speak the language of CFOs and Controllers, and can connect product capabilities to business outcomes with confidence. You understand margin, value-based selling, and how to position ROI in a way that resonates with finance leaders.

You're data-driven, curious, and commercially minded. You ask good questions, analyse opportunities strategically, and make decisions based on data and customer insights. You thrive in fast-paced, scaling environments where priorities shift and adaptability matters.

Bonus points for experience working with mid-market or enterprise finance teams, comfort running webinars or account-based campaigns, and strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Our sales stack

CRM: HubSpot for pipeline management, forecasting, deal tracking, and customer touchpoints
Sales Productivity: Modern tools for automation, email sequencing, and campaign tracking
Collaboration: Close alignment with Customer Success (adoption insights), GTM/Marketing (campaign support), Product/Engineering (feedback loops)
Why join now?

Shape how Account Management is built. We're building this function from the ground up. You'll have the opportunity to define processes, refine playbooks, and influence how we approach expansion at scale. This isn't a box-ticking role - you'll genuinely shape the future of Account Management at ezyCollect by Sidetrade.

High-impact ownership. You'll own a significant revenue stream with direct accountability for expansion targets. Your success directly impacts the business - and you'll have the autonomy, resources, and support to make it happen.

Direct exposure to leadership and strategy. You'll report directly to the CRO and have visibility into commercial strategy, product roadmap decisions, and go-to-market planning. You won't be siloed - you'll be at the table.

Growth as we scale globally. As ezyCollect by Sidetrade expands across APAC, the US, and beyond, there will be clear opportunities to grow with the business - whether that's leading a team, managing strategic accounts, or expanding into new markets.

A collaborative, ambitious team culture. Work with a supportive team that values your contributions, celebrates diversity, and fosters an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. We're ambitious but human - and we believe the best work happens when people feel valued and supported.

Stability and momentum. We're profitable, backed by Sidetrade, and serving 1,100+ customers with A$19B under management. You're not joining a startup scrambling for product-market fit - you're joining a proven business that's scaling deliberately.

What we offer

Competitive OTE: Base salary + commission structure with performance-based commission structure tied to expansion revenue targets.

Work that fits your life: Hybrid working (3 days in office), work-from-anywhere policy, generous parental leave, and flexible leave when life happens.

Level up your skills: Annual training budget, dedicated coaching, and exposure to multiple facets of the business (sales, CS, product) that accelerates your growth.

Modern workspace: 24/7 access to our WeWork office on Pitt Street with on-site barista and bar, plus optional active lunch breaks, meditation, and yoga sessions.

Connect and recharge: Quarterly team social events, monthly virtual entertainment, and a collaborative culture that rewards the right behaviours.

Additional perks: Employee referral bonuses and the chance to work with a product customers genuinely love.
