The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
Process monthly & quarterly GST returns.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budgeting processes.
Utilize accounting software for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
Collaborate with the Controller to resolve discrepancies or inquiries related to financial transactions.
Maintain organized financial files and documentation for easy retrieval.
Hybrid for working from home and office (1 office in Vancouver the other in Coquitlam).
Requirements
Proven experience as an Accountant or Account Clerk with a strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and bank reconciliation practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
Proficiency in accounting software use (not specific).

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
