Rise Accountants are a national accounting firm that provides both Taxation and
Business Services to our clients across QLD, Australia. We are seeking an experience
Accountant with practical Business Services
Duties & Responsibilities:
Providing Accounting Business Services to clients relating to compliance – based on financial reporting, accounting information systems; and advises on associated record-keeping requirements
Assisting in overseeing budgetary and accounting policies
Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies
Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports as required
Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure and providing recommendation on cost saving measures
Ensuring the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
Preparing taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, self managed super funds, trusts and organisations in collaboration with the Senior Tax Accountants
Liaising with financial institutions and the Australian Taxation office as required
Recommending, implementing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
Maintaining internal control systems
Overseeing and managing clients Accounting Systems (Xero, MYOB etc)
Adopt self-checking, continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
Understand, implement, participate, and promote Company Policies and
Procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) objectives, processes and procedures.
Skills and Requirements:
Relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting or higher
2 + years of proven experience in a similar role
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of attention to detail and highly organised
Proficient in accounting software (Xero MYOB & QuickBooks)
Technical and/or Industry experience or knowledge would be ideal
Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship development skills\
Team player but able to work independently

Pay: $78,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
