About The Job
The Red Hat Finance team is looking for an Accountant to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work closely with
different sections of the Global Accounting team and the Global Purchasing and Expenses team. You will manage
activities associated with the Procurement to Pay Team. As an Accountant, you will collaborate with both internal
associates and external agencies/auditors.
What You Will Do
• Ensure daily expense audit volumes are completed accurately.
• Ensure all support emails on the Query Mailbox are reviewed and processed within the turnaround time (TAT) with accurate details.
• Assist with monthly status reports and KPI reporting within the given timelines.
• Follow up on a timely basis on deliverables pending at the employee or business-end.
• Collaborate with the Internal Management Team and the GPO Team to ensure process standardization.
• Ensure that associates follow defined policies; educate associates when you identify knowledge gaps.
• Assist the business with questions about employee expenses.
• Ensure the use of correct accounts, cost centers, internal orders, general ledger codes, etc.
• Prepare specific reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Respond to tickets/queries on Service Now.
• Preparing and Updating the Internal Daily Volume Dashboards as per the management’s requirement
• Handling Adhoc activities on a rotational basis
• Reconciliations when needed
• Storing and maintaining supporting documents where required.
• Communicate internally with associates and externally with auditors, etc.
What You Will Bring
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good experience in handling expense processing and associate travel and expenses reimbursements.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and overall P2P process.
• Basic enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience; experience with Oracle 11i and R12 is a plus.
• Willingness to work extended hours/weekends in periods of high demand.
• Experience in handling high-volume transactions.
• Exceptional service, accountability, communication, and problem-solving skills across teams with different.
• objectives in an environment with strict deadlines and high pressure
