Roles and responsibilities in a nutshell but not limited to:

An Ideal candidate would be someone who
• Setup and own functioning of all accounting aspects in the ECommerce D2C business.
• Review and develop policies in close collaboration with controllers, set up scalable processes, ensure timely book closure, inventory management/accounting, and consolidation of entities/investments.
• Making and updating the MIS on a daily and monthly basis and experience in using Tally ERP + with hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, Payable all while ensuring the company’s internal protocols and SOPs are followed.
• Interface with auditors for statutory audits; align timelines with investor reporting.- Drive all statutory and tax compliances such as TDS, TCS, GST, RBI, MCA, etc.- and Prepare periodic tax returns with local tax advisors, reconcile tax accounts
• Interface with business for appropriate accounting/tax constructs: Eg. agreements with marketplaces, managing merchant/reseller contracts, etc.-
• Collaborate with business finance to help in automation where possible, ensure timely and accurate capture of data between accounting systems, internal databases & SaaS applications.-
• Identify areas of intercompany relationships, risk areas, and develop mitigation strategies- Hire, manage, mentor and provide development path for team members, training, motivating and addressing performance issues.
• Record invoices in a timely manner with accuracy and consistency
• Ensure international employee expenses and suppliers invoices are paid on time
• Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, P&L, and balance sheet)
• Record monthly payroll entries
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of various legal, financial, and tax registrations

Prerequisites:-
• Have a thorough understanding of balance sheet, cash flow, MIS reports, working with CS, ever changing Tax laws, petty cash system, tally, payrolls, GST
• 0-2 years qualified CA fresher, semi-qualified CA
• Experience working in a Start-up
• Should be very comfortable using G-suite and Google products
• Excellent Communication (written and verbal) in English Language
• An eye for detail along with high benchmarks for quality
• Great people skills! and team management skills
• Ability to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management
• High energy level and untiring commitment to drive oneself & the team towards goals
