Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support business decision-making processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of GST returns, including filing reconciliation, and compliance with GST regulations.
• Stay updated with changes in GST laws and regulations and provide guidance on their implementation within the organization.
• Manage the complete Tally accounting system, including data entry, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Assist in the year-end audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and support.
• Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting designation (e.g., CA, CPA) is a plus.
• Proven work experience as a Accountant or in a similar role within a manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of GST regulations and experience in GST return preparation and filing.
• Proficiency in Tally software is essential, with demonstrated experience in managing accounting functions using Tally.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams.
