• Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry only. This role is critical in managing the financial health of our operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and file tax returns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
- Handle invoicing and billing processes specific to freight forwarding.
- Monitor and report on financial performance and variances.
• Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., TALLY, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
