The Opportunity

You'll work closely with experienced mentors to develop your skills and gain valuable insights into the legal industry. This is an entry to mid level position so 1-2 years experience in an analyst or similar role would be the sweet spot for us!
As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Commercial Manager in commercial operations and driving strategic decision-making. You'll have the chance to apply your financial analysis skills to real-world problems and contribute to the success of the firm. Responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis to support commercial decision-making.
Identify trends, opportunities, and risks based on financial data and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders within the firm.
Prepare financial reports and dashboards using Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor financial performance, such as client related dashboards.
Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data from various sources. Taking this data, collaborate with other shared services teams to make data informed observations.
Use data analysis tools and techniques, including Power BI, to extract meaningful insights to provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions.
Assist in the preparation and management of yearly budgets and forecasts and tracking performance against budgets.
Assist the Commercial Manager in monitoring budget performance within each key team and explaining results through KPI analysis.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and report generation as needed to support business needs.
Provide financial input and analysis, including developing excel models, to support the development of commercial strategies.
Identify any process or system improvement opportunities within Finance, including working with our external vendors to make any updates to our core reporting system as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
1- 2 years of experience in a similar role within a finance team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred experience using Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
