Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with specific expertise in GST, TDS, and account finalization. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of bank reconciliation, balance sheet preparation, and ledger scrutiny.
Key Responsibilities
• GST & TDS Management:
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns and TDS statements.
• Maintain records of GST and TDS transactions.
• Reconcile GST and TDS ledgers and address discrepancies.
• Accounting & Account Finalization:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, accounts payable, and receivable.
• Prepare financial statements, including profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
• Assist in the year-end account finalization process and audits.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and matched with bank statements.
• Balance Sheet & Ledger Scrutiny:
• Prepare and review balance sheets to ensure accuracy.
• Scrutinize ledger entries for correctness and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Revenue Reconciliation:
• Reconcile revenue accounts to ensure proper recognition and accuracy.
• Verify revenue transactions against financial records and reports.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports for management.
• Provide detailed analysis of financial data and trends.
• Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Other Duties:
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors degree (B.Com) or Masters degree (M.Com) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on GST, TDS, and account finalization.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally)
• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and financial functions.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Key Skills:
• GST (Goods and Services Tax): Expertise in GST compliance and reporting.
• TDS (Tax Deducted at Source): Proficiency in TDS calculations, deductions, and filings.
• Accounting: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Account Finalization: Experience in preparing and finalizing financial statements.
• Bank Reconciliation: Skillful in reconciling bank statements and handling discrepancies.
