Job Title: Accountant – Bookkeeping & Sales Accounting Analyst I

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, sales billing, and financial records at our office. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Zoho Books and a solid understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, and reconciliation.
This role involves maintaining accurate records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and supporting internal reporting for management.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain daily bookkeeping and record all financial transactions accurately in Zoho Books
• Prepare and manage sales invoices, purchase bills, and expense records
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer payments regularly.
• Maintain proper documentation of bills, receipts, and vouchers
• Track and manage accounts receivable and payable
• Ensure all entries are GST compliant and assist with monthly GST filings.
• Coordinate with the operations and sales teams to verify and record billing data.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries for management review
• Assist in audits, compliance filings, and internal financial reporting.
• Support inventory and procurement teams with financial reconciliation when required
Key Skills & Requirements
• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in accounting or bookkeeping roles
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Zoho Books (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, journal entries, and GST compliance.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial documentation practices.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or trading businesses is an advantage.
Desirable Attributes
• Familiarity with TDS, GST returns, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing office petty cash and vendor payments.
• Exposure to inventory-linked accounting and reconciliation.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
