Empire Holdings (QLD) Pty Ltd, located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, responsible for Brisbane’s most prestigious hospitality venues; Cloudland, Empire Hotel, Press Club, Valley Hops Brewing and the Warehouse; has an exciting opportunity for a full time Accountant.
Tasks Include:
· Accounts Receivable, Payable, Income Audit and Cost Audit functions
· Performing month-end tasks, reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigating reporting variances if they arise.
· Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any variances are actioned and cleared each month.
· Company takings reconciliation for cash, eftpos, credit, accounts and pre-paid.
· Supporting with month-end stakeholder meetings to assist in the ongoing accrual posting process.
· Adhering to a financial reporting timetable and working with the team in ensuring our deliverables are met.
· Assist the Accounting team with any ad-hoc queries.
· Maintain the internal accounting control systems.
Experience:
· Degree Qualification in Commerce/Accounting
· CA/CPA Accreditation
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
· Strong time management skills and the ability to meet all deadlines
· Flexibility, adaptability and logical thinking in approach to tasks
· Strong and proven interpersonal, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement abilities
· Experience with Netsuite ERP or similar
The right candidate will be renumerated in accordance with their experience, between $76 600 – 80 000 per annum plus superannuation.
