Job Title: Accounting Intern

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Summer Accounting Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks while contributing to our daily accounting operations. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
• Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
• Assist in reconciling accounts in a timely manner.
• Daily data entry of financial transactions into our database.
• Support company personnel with various accounting-related tasks.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on specific activity areas.
• Adhere to established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
• Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative
• Able to meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel, Outlook experience desired
• Knowledge of business office procedures
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks efficiently.
• Good data entry and word processing skills.
• Well-organized with strong technical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with accounting software programs (e.g., Procas).
• Previous internship or related experience in accounting or finance.
