Job Summary :
PREMA is a fast-growing audit and taxation consulting firm serving clients across India and the United Arab Emirates. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Chennai team.
This role offers excellent exposure to statutory audits, Indian taxation, international taxation, and financial reporting, giving you a strong platform to grow your career in professional services.
Responsibilities :
Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements as per IFRS and Ind AS
Conduct statutory audits and assist in audit planning, documentation, and reporting
Handle Indian Direct Tax compliance (Income Tax, TDS/TCS, advance tax, return filing)
Manage Indirect Tax compliance (Goods and Services Tax registration, returns, annual filings, audits)
Assist in Transfer Pricing and international taxation documentation
Apply basic knowledge of VAT and Corporate Tax regulations in the UAE
Prepare MIS reports, budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis
Liaise with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities
Ensure timely compliance with internal policies and regulatory deadlines
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Working knowledge of Indian Direct & Indirect Tax laws
Basic understanding of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax framework
Familiarity with IFRS / Ind AS
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks) and MS Excel
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
