Accountant – ICT Construction - BERMUDA! $US – 6-8% Tax
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our client’s team in beautiful and balmy BERMUDA!
Our customer is Bermuda’s primary provider of ICT Construction projects for their highly valued local and international customer base. You’ll be responsible for a diverse range of activities including the financial oversight and reporting of critical ICT/Construction projects from start to finish — ensuring budgets are tracked, costs are controlled, and financial reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with project managers, operations, and finance to drive accountability and success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Primarily responsible for the full cycle financial operations of the Company for review by the Financial Controller with the primary focus being on Project Accounting.
• Take a lead role in our client’s change over from a legacy ERP to a new, state of the art product.
• Prepare accurate monthly project cost reports and variance analyses
• Maintain the Fixed Assets inventory and depreciation schedules in accordance with established policies.
• Ensure timely billing, revenue recognition, and cost allocations
• Collaborate with project managers to track milestones and financial KPIs
• Assist with audits, compliance, and internal controls
• Support project close-out, including final cost reporting and reconciliations
• Identify and communicate financial risks or opportunities on projects
What We’re Looking For:
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent designation
• 3+ years’ experience in project accounting or financial management with Contract Revenue Recognition.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, contract management and construction accounting principles.
• Strong knowledge of Inventory Management.
• Technically proficient in accounting software and Excel in a Microsoft environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• A high level of portability and enthusiasm for the opportunity to live and work in Bermuda, the “Jewel Above the Caribbean,” for 3 years or more!
