• Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst
Manage the various compensation portfolios (Eg: Equity, Pension, Severance and Incentive compensation)
• Review and Analysis to be performed for all the lines of Compensation Accounting across all ICG Business for all region viz Actuals vs Prior Month Actuals / Projected Actuals / Outlook.
• To be able to effectively discuss the process changes with compensation controllers, communicate and implement the changes
• Accountable for ensuring that controls and processes are in place to enable the accurate accounting and management information reporting.
• Review and manage the critical tasks completed by various team members (daily P&L ,variance analysis, statutory reporting and chargeback/payout)
• Provides MoM variance analysis on compensation lines insight to segment controllers
• Have an overall responsibility for internal and external representation of comp processes
• Ensuring the risk and control framework in Citi is fully implemented for this process
• Highlight or escalate any issues or implement any changes
• Management and ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
• Responsible for KPI and conducting monthly review call with stakeholders
• Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
• Able to articulate own process along with its key controls and support reasoning with appropriate evidence in assigned area of work.
• Directs day-to-day work of junior level employees.
• Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools. Identifies and resolves problems using independent judgment for assigned products/business.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge/Experience:
Operational accounting and reporting of compensation lines for all regions
• Performs monthly, quarterly and yearly variance analysis
• Investigation and resolution of ledger variances
• Account reconciliation
• Expense recognition/accrual entries
• Reviews general ledger/sub ledgers on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting
• Management reporting
• Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement new techniques for process improvement
Qualifications – Internal:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with experience in similar Accounting/Finance related position
• Post Graduate or certifications a plus
• Inter CA preferred
Experience:
• 2 + years’ experience in General Ledger Accounting
• Relevant Experience with Compensation Accounting preferred
• Experience with monthly ledger variance analysis.
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Salary: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
