Job Overview
We are hiring an Accountant to join our team at Podar Education Network. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing and maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This is a full-time position located in Hadapsar Pune, Maharashtra, India. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in school accounting, be proficient in Tally and computer knowledge, and possess strong English communication skills.
Qualifications And Skills
1-3 years of experience in school accounting or a similar role
Proficiency in Tally software and computer knowledge
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
Team player with good interpersonal skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Roles And Responsibilities
Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax requirements and financial reporting
Monitor and analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits
Handle petty cash management and reimbursements
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect company assets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters
Stay updated with changes in accounting principles and best practices
