TSL is a regional Chartered Management Accounting practice formed in 1987. With the exception of statutory audits, we offer Clients the full range of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Business Consulting services from two main offices, located in Bath and Minchinhampton, near Stroud. TSL Accounting is a spin out of Total Solutions UK Ltd and due to rapid growth we are now looking to take on another Senior Accountant. We work closely with our Clients, offering business advice as well as regular ongoing accounting services. Our Clients range from individuals and sole traders through to international corporations.

Job description

We require a qualified financial accountant with a minimum 5 yrs. PQE (ACA, FCA, ACCA, FCCA, MAAT, MATT), to help us with Client work, full time (part time considered), in our Minchinhampton office which includes:

· Preparation of year end statutory accounts for review, including reconciliations and returns (non-audit).

· Tax advice for individuals, partnerships and companies, including year-end computations and returns.

· Charity accounts and returns.

· New business development and customer relations.

· Review of management and statutory accounts produced by other staff.

· Providing technical support as required to other staff in both offices.

· Regular communication with Clients – telephone, email, occasional onsite visits.

· Preparation of traditional accounts (i.e. incomplete records/ “box” jobs).

· General management responsibilities in the Minchinhampton office (with other senior management).

· Preparation of ongoing management and financial accounts, including VAT and standard reconciliations, for a select number of Clients, from original documents processing through to final accounts.

CIMA and QBE would be considered, but must be fully competent in all areas listed.

Location: Stroud office (Minchinhampton)

Reports to: Director level

Salary: Competitive, based on experience £45k - £65k FTE

Hours: Full time or will consider part time 2-5 days TBA (Standard office hours are 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri (½hr Lunch)

Benefits: BUPA after qualifying periods and conditions.

Holiday: 28 days p.a. increasing by 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 31 (pro-rata part time).

Home working: The senior accountant role is based onsite in Minchinhampton

Notes:

Solid tax knowledge in relation to individuals and companies, and sound “hands-on” accounting and bookkeeping experience is essential. The role will require real working knowledge of Sage, Excel and Word on a daily basis. Experience of Xero and Quickbooks would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be positive and organised, able to work alone and as part of the team, and have good interpersonal skills.
