Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proficient individual to join our team as an Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, and supporting our export activities.
Responsibilities
Accounting:
Raising invoices and proforma invoices for clients.
Preparing GST returns and liaising with Camelot’s Chartered Accountants.
Managing company and personal expenses using Tally.
Following up with vendors and clients for payments.
Preparing and maintaining the yearly P&L statement.
Tracking incoming advance payments and payment status of clients.
Paying salaries and maintaining an attendance/leave record.
Raising delivery challans and e-way bills.
Export Documentation and Banking:
Ensuring compliance with export documentation requirements.
Coordinating with relevant authorities and agencies for export-related processes.
Knowledge of banking requirements and procedures for international transactions.
Administrative:
Delivery organisation and coordination.
Booking Wefasts, Porters, couriers, and other logistics teams when required.
Creating and maintaining an inventory list of supplies (packing materials, fabrics, hardware, etc.).
Ordering and maintaining a clear list of supplies (packing materials, fabrics, hardware, etc.).
Managing petty cash
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of Tally and other accounting software.
Familiarity with GST returns and compliance.
Expertise in export documentation and banking procedures.
Ability to follow up with vendors and clients for payments.
Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday: 10:30am - 6:00pm
Saturdays (1st & 3rd): 10:30am - 2:00pm
