Job Description
We are seeking a qualified faculty member to teach accounting courses, including Financial and Managerial Accounting, at Shoreline Community College. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 15 graduate credits in accounting, or a closely related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach accounting courses to students from diverse backgrounds
Advise students on academic matters and provide guidance on career paths
Develop and assess curriculum for accounting programs
Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including governance and professional development
Requirements:
Master's degree in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 15 graduate credits in accounting
Two years of full-time work or teaching experience in accounting, business management, finance, or a closely related field
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and learning management systems
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
Experience teaching and developing coursework online
Working Conditions:
The College is currently in mixed operations, with the option of some assignments to be completed in an online environment. Faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access for remote instruction. On-campus instruction requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
