Accounting Manager - Atlanta, GA
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our accounting department's daily operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong leadership skills.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and managing a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities:
• Prepare multi-location, consolidated financial statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Month-End Close: Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes of both the support center and site operations
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the shared services support center accounting department, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Perform daily transactional accounting tasks, including payables
• ACH disbursements and payroll processing
• Monitor cash and credit card balances
• Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and productivity
• Coordinate external audits and assist auditors in conducting reviews of financial records. Qualifications:
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years of monthly transactional accounting and month-end closing experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
