Within this role you will:
ISS seek an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. In this role you will be responsible for 60% accounting related duties and 40% of shipping contract management operating from a remote location.
Responsibilities (not Limited to):
Accounting:
• Knowledge of QUICK BOOKS is mandatory.
• Handling Multi-Currency Accounts.
• General Ledger Accounts.
• Bank Statement Reconciliation.
• Journal Entries & Financial Statements.
• Creating & Maintaining Periodic Reporting.
• Assisting in Annual Budgets.
• Preparing Statistics & Financial Reports of Debtors & Creditors.
• Credit Control and Related Activities.
• Initiating and preparing Bank Payments
• Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Utilizes accounting system, billing system ( QUICK BOOKS), spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Perform various complex account analyses and reconciliation.
• Reconciles the general operating account and payroll bank statements and enters the cash journals into the General Ledger.
• Uses statistical, economic and financial principles and techniques to prepare reports including the state Annual Report.
• Prepares various financial documents for compliance with regulations.
• Maintains records retention log to facilitate the orderly file system of permanent records for adherence to record retention policy.
• Assist with the month-end closing
