WATFORD
Salary Up To £35k Per Annum Depending On Experience
A civil engineering/groundworks company, now require an experienced accounting person to join a small team based at their head office in Watford. This is a varied role dealing with the general accounting work of the Company. Reporting directly into a hands-on Financial Controller, there will be the opportunity to learn Management Accounts, would suit someone studying towards AAT or similar.
Key Tasks
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger experience.
• Strong understanding of general finance administration.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Monitoring of sales ledger to include the posting of remittances and ensuring timely payment of invoices.
• Journal posting,
• Supplier invoice posting and statement reconciliations.
• Handling supplier queries efficiently.
• Assisting with month end routines.
• Reporting - daily, weekly, month end.
• Preparation of Management Accounts support.
Profile
• Strong IT skills.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skill with the ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Previous experience in all round accounting functions.
• Consistent and disciplined attitude.
8.30am-5.00pm - Monday - Friday
