ACCOUNT ASSISTANT
Location: Bandra, Mumbai.
Reporting To: Accounts Executive
Job Purpose
To assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, support day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements for the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP/accounting software.
Record all sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries accurately.
Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and customer accounts regularly.
Handle petty cash and maintain cash books.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and payments.
Prepare and send customer invoices; follow up on outstanding payments.
Maintain an updated list of debtors and creditors.
Verify vendor bills against purchase orders and goods received notes.
3. Coordination
Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and vendors as required.
Coordinate with internal departments like production, sales, and logistics for financial data.
Qualifications & Experience
B. Com / M. Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the textile/apparel or manufacturing sector.
Familiarity with Tally, ERP or similar accounting software.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax laws.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic MIS preparation.
Key Sksills
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Time management and multitasking skills.
Remuneration:
Between 2.00 to 2.50 Lacs Per Annum
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
