Job Description: Accounts Assistant in a CA Firm Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our prestigious CA (Chartered Accountant) firm. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, assisting with various accounting tasks, financial data management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping and Data Entry: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions in the accounting system. - Verify, allocate, and post financial data to appropriate accounts and journals. - Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. Accounts Payable and Receivable: - Assist in processing vendor invoices, verifying expense reports, and ensuring timely payment. - Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to facilitate prompt payment. - Maintain records of client payments and assist with generating invoices. Financial Reporting: - Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Compile and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions. - Generate various financial reports for management review. Tax Compliance: - Assist in gathering and organizing financial data required for tax filings and audits. - Collaborate with the tax team to ensure adherence to tax regulations and deadlines. General Administrative Support: - Provide administrative assistance to the finance team as needed. - Help with organizing financial documents and maintaining a well-structured filing system. - Support in other accounting-related tasks as directed by the senior finance personnel. Software Proficiency: - Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) effectively to manage financial transactions and reports. Client Relations: - Maintain professional and positive communication with clients to address accounting queries and concerns. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role, preferably in a CA firm. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. - Excellent data entry and numerical skills, with keen attention to detail. - Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
