Job Title: Vice President of Finance

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Finance to lead our financial strategy and operations. In this pivotal role, you will be the key architect behind our financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the Founder, your leadership will play a crucial role in driving our growth and shaping the future of the business.
We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a passion for numbers, and enjoys transforming data-driven insights into impactful business decisions.
Preferred Background:
Candidates with a background in FMCG are highly preferred, given the analytical and operational rigor required. Additionally, experience in e-commerce will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Leadership: Oversee financial activities across all entities in India, ensuring robust financial health.
• Monthly Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the board and investors.
• Commercial Negotiations: Lead negotiations and finalize commercial agreements with clients.
• Audit & Compliance: Manage financial records, coordinate annual audits, and ensure timely tax filings.
• Banking & Investor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with banks, lenders, and investors to secure optimal financing options.
• Funding Rounds: Coordinate with investors and due diligence teams for smooth and timely closure of funding rounds.
• Financial Documentation: Supervise the preparation of key financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and regulatory reports.
• Budget Management: Monitor financial performance, compare actual results against projections, and recommend adjustments.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest strategic changes for enhanced efficiency.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Board of Directors, Founder, and executive teams to set and execute strategic priorities.
• Market Research: Analyze economic trends and forecast their impact on business growth.
• Geographical Expansion: Identify and evaluate new markets for potential growth opportunities.
• Accounting Oversight: Manage all accounting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
Who You Are:
• You hold a CA qualification along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
• You bring 13+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic impact.
• Your expertise in accounting regulations and procedures ensures adherence to best practices and compliance.
• You are proficient in accounting software like Tally, FreshBooks, and QuickBooks, which enhances operational efficiency.
• Your strong English communication skills allow you to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
• With keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills, you ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• You possess exceptional leadership and people management skills, inspiring your team to achieve their best.
