Accounts Executive (E-commerce)
Position Overview:The E-commerce Accountant is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the e-commerce business, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle various accounting tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's growth.Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
• Manage daily accounting operations, including booking turnover, expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Ensure timely payments to stakeholders and maintain accurate financial records.
2. Reporting and Reconciliation
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure customer refunds are processed efficiently.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and explain variations to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
3. Compliance and Audit Support
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS).
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits, supporting risk mitigation efforts.
4. Inventory Accounting
• Oversee inventory accounting responsibilities, maintaining accurate records for stock receipts and withdrawals.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation.
5. Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
6. Collaboration with Teams
• Work closely with finance, operations, and compliance teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making across departments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the e-commerce sector.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
Skills:
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
