Maintaining financial records: This includes recording all financial transactions, such as purchases, sales, payments, receipts, and journal entries in the company's accounting system. This also involves ensuring that all financial records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
Monitoring cash flow: The Accounts Executive is responsible for monitoring the company's cash flow and ensuring that there is enough cash to meet the company's obligations. This involves preparing cash flow statements, forecasting cash flow requirements, and managing cash balances.
Managing accounts payable and receivable: The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable. This includes ensuring that bills are paid on time, invoices are sent out on time, and that outstanding debts are collected promptly.
Preparing financial reports: The Accounts Executive is responsible for preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These reports provide an overview of the company's financial health and are used by management to make strategic decisions.
Budgeting and forecasting: The Accounts Executive is responsible for preparing and managing the company's budget, including forecasting revenue and expenses, and monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets.
Liaising with auditors and tax authorities: The Accounts Executive is responsible for liaising with auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with financial regulations and to ensure that the company's financial statements are accurate and complete.
Managing payroll: The Accounts Executive may be responsible for managing the company's payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all payroll taxes and deductions are properly calculated and paid.
