Job Description: Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Industry

We are a manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to manage our financial transactions and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements. The successful candidate will oversee a range of accounting activities including the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgeting and forecasting, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for generating GST invoices, creating Eway bills, managing debit and credit notes, and invoicing through Tally. A deep understanding of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and TCS (Tax Collected at Source) deduction norms is required, along with experience in payment follow-ups with vendors and suppliers, customer email communications, and preparing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.

Key Responsibilities
• Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Tally Prime) and spreadsheets.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Conduct financial analysis to create detailed budgets and forecasts for the company.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial records regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement efficient solutions.
• GST Invoicing & Eway Bills: Generate GST-compliant invoices and create Eway bills as required.
• Tally Management: Manage debit and credit notes, invoicing, and other accounting tasks using Tally software.
• TDS & TCS: Deduct TDS and TCS as applicable and ensure timely challan payments.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Follow up on payments with vendors and suppliers, and ensure smooth financial transactions.
• Customer Communication: Prepare and send payment advice to customers via email.
• Recording Transactions: Accurately record purchase and sales entries in the financial system.
• GST & Bank Reconciliation: Perform GST and bank reconciliation tasks to ensure financial consistency.
• Profit & Loss Statements: Prepare and maintain Profit & Loss statements regularly.
• Advanced Reporting: Create summary reports and conduct financial analysis using advanced Excel techniques.

Education & Experience Requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry.
• Qualifications: M.Com, CMS, or CS qualifications preferred.
• Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise in Tally Prime and advanced Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
• GST & Tally Knowledge: Familiarity with GST invoicing rules, Eway bill generation, and Tally features related to debit and credit notes.
• TDS & TCS Knowledge: In-depth understanding of TDS and TCS deduction norms and challan payments.
• Communication Skills: Ability to manage customer communications, payment follow-ups, and vendor relationships.
