Job Description
Key Responsibilities: • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the retail business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, inventory management, and payroll. • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders. • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow, and develop budgets and financial plans accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws, and work with external auditors and tax advisors as needed. • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as needed. • Continuously evaluate and improve the accounting and financial processes and systems to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Minimum Requirement: • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and stakeholders. • Experience in implementing and managing financial controls and procedures. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
