Purpose:The Accounts Manager plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the academy. He/She is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.The right candidate will be responsible for managing the overall accounting and reporting processes, student accounts, statutory compliances (Income Tax/Companies Act/FEMA/FCRA), timely payments (local as well as international), etc. The position requires communication with various stakeholders, internal and external, on a regular basis.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Responsible for coordinating and supervising the works of team members (AP, AR, FA, GL, Payroll, Compliances, Audits, etc.)2. Communicating with the parents as and when required with regard to fee-related queries as per the escalation matrix. This includes E-Mails, Calls, and Meetings.3. Interacting with other Departmental colleagues for various works.4. Interacting with Vendors for various queries like payment, TDS, Advances, Documentation, Compliances, Declarations, etc.5. Supervise the preparation and finalisation of monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS/Narratives/Schedules/Financial Statements, etc.6. Manage the transfer and processing of Payroll & Taxation, payment of PF, ESI as required of staff.7. Ensure that all relevant information is available for Internal Auditors, Statutory Auditors, and statutory agencies as required.8. Oversee the school's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.+. Monitor cash flow and manage the school's financial resources efficiently.10. Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.11. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and adjust school policies and procedures accordingly.12. Provide guidance and support to staff in financial matters.13. Foster a culture of accountability and financial responsibility within the school. Requirements:1. CA/CS with a strong accounting background.2. Relevant experience of minimum eight years.3. Experience in an International Residential school will be an advantage; however, it is not mandatory.4. Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.5. Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools (Tally/ERP/Etc.)6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.7. Leadership and team management abilities.8. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.+. Exposure to dealing with foreign exchange, FCRA (must).10. High ethical standards and integrity in financial matters.11. Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.12. Excellent written & verbal communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.13. Ability to work independently
