Role Overview:
As a Temporary Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. These roles are crucial in supporting the financial operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the accounts payable department.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review a high volume of invoices and expense reports.
Ensure accurate coding and entry of invoices into the accounting system.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process payments, including electronic transfers and checks.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain organised records of invoices, payments, and other financial documentation.
Respond to vendor inquiries and address any issues or concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
