Team description:
Offer M&A advice to listed companies, privately owned companies and private equity backed companies. Expertise covers the full breadth of the M&A advisory spectrum and includes majority and minority disposals to trade and private equity investors, corporate carve-outs, P2Ps, mergers, acquisitions in connection with platforms or bolt-ons and advice in connection with the raising of growth capital from either the debt or equity markets.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing and Identification: Identifying potential acquisition targets and understanding the strategic fit for the client.
Valuation and Financial Modelling: Performing financial analysis, developing valuation models (e.g., DCF, comparable companies), and assessing the financial viability of potential deals.
Due Diligence: Conducting thorough investigations of target companies, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Structuring deals (merger, acquisition, etc.), negotiating key terms (price, payment, integration), and drafting legal documents.
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing expert advice.
Core skills and knowledge:
Detailed, up to date and practical working knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations (such as FCA, AIM, City Code on Takeovers).
Acting with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our clients and potential clients fairly.
Hold relevant market, sector and technical knowledge.
Strong understanding and preparation of financial analysis, valuation and modelling techniques.
Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, excel and presentation solutions.
Effective internal / external client interaction (including with other advisors) for business generation and execution.
