AP Accountant
Company Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate vendor coding provided by a third party for accuracy and compliance.
- Onboard and verify vendors through a strict process to mitigate fraud risks.
- Manage vendor inquiries and provide timely responses to resolve any issues.
- Prepare journal entries and conduct reconciliations as part of monthly close procedures.
- Process approximately 4,000 invoices per month, overseeing weekly check runs averaging $1.5 million.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in exploration and production (E&P) environments.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with E&P accounting systems such as OGsys, Bolo, or Excalibur.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes consistently.
- Coachable mindset, receptive to feedback, and continuous learning.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
